Big Day Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, we begin an awesome adventure of a year! I know our students will have a wonderful first week. We have an amazing year of music and learning planned for all of us.

First Day for Students

Aug 10, 8:25am - 3:25am EDT

Arrive as early as 7:55 for school

First Bell rings at 8:20

Dismissal begins at 3:20

Reminder - every student will go through security checks upon school entry, so consider what is in/on backpacks. Report to first period first thing. Bring your schedule, but every student will get an updated paper schedule in first period.

School Supplies

Something to write with and paper will work for the first week. A teacher-specific list was sent home by Lavilla admin last week. Teachers will send home a specific supply list, if they were not on that chart. Do Not Buy or Rent and Instrument yet, 6th graders. More info at orientation next week.

Instruments

7th and 8th graders, WE WILL PLAY MUSIC tomorrow! Bring your instrument/summer rental to class tomorrow! Summer Rental instruments need to be returned this week, as well.

ASJ Rehearsal

Aug 10, 3:30pm - 4:50 pm EDT

Pickup in the buss loop

Ashley Street Jazz Band will rehearse tomorrow after school until 4:50 PM. Students can be picked up in the back of the school in the bus loop. Please note there will be NO ACTIVITY BUS and parents can not pick students up from the office at the front of the school.

Orientation

Remember, Returning Band Student Orientation is this Tuesday, August 11, from 6-7 PM. All returning students and parents are encouraged to attend. This will include an overview of jazz bands as well. Orientation will take place in the theatre.

New Student Orientation is Tuesday, August 18th, 6-7 PM in the Theatre. All students and parents new to Lavilla are encouraged to come and meet everyone.

Lavilla Support Team

A huge thank you to all who have said yes to a task, helped with the glow up, or have volunteered to help in any way already this year. Your support makes our students shine even brighter! We are in URGENT NEED of volunteers for our fundraising team. Our first fundraiser is coming up on August 22, and we need help planning and supervising.
